Justin Eveson is the main man in Australia’s wheelchair basketball team, the Rollers, undisputed as the finest in the world. Highly skilful, turning his chair at sharp angles while shooting hoops with the opposition in his face, Eveson is the difference between Australia and most other sides. He was instrumental in their securing of a gold medal at the Beijing Paralympics last year and Australia’s unbeaten run through the IWBF Asia Oceania Championships. Australia defeated Japan 68-51 in the decider as Eveson poured in 25 points. His exploits ensured the Rollers went unbeaten through their seven games, and he was non-stop in the final, complementing those 25 points with 13 rebounds and a team-high five assists. Earlier this year, Eveson triggered the Rollers’ win at the Paralympic World Cup, sealed by a 69-48 drubbing of the US. Will Swanton
