Cameron Rahles-Rahbula

Cameron Rahles-Rahbula

Cameron Rahles-Rahbula is no stranger to the winner’s podium and this year he won a world championship gold medal in the slalom event at the IPC Alpine Skiing World Championship held in Gangwon-Do, South Korea, in February. Rahles-Rabula, a fearsome competitor who loves the technical aspects of skiing, also won bronze medals in the giant slalom, the super combined and super-G events. The 26-year-old physiotherapist from country Victoria, who lost his lower left leg to cancer when just 14, has been competing successfully in paralympic world cup skiing for the past few years and the two-time Paralympian will again represent Australia at the Vancouver Paralympic Games in March. Rahles-Rahbula overcame a troublesome back injury and surgery on his foot to dominate the Australian championships and selection trials in Thredbo in August. Jacquelin Magnay
